SSB Recruitment 2024: Check Posts, Vacancies, Qualification, Age, Procedure to Apply Online
The selection process involves a written examination comprising Paper I and Paper II, followed by Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests, Medical Examination, and an Interview/Personality Test. The final merit list is determined based on a total of 600 marks from all stages of evaluation.
The candidates who meet the eligibility criteria as per the post can apply online through the official portal of UPSC and submit their duly filled applications on or before the last date of the submission. Required educational qualifications, eligibility and other important details, are given below in brief —
SSB Recruitment 2024 Vacancy Details — The recruitment notification for SSB Assistant Commandants (Group A) vacancies is as follows:
Name of Post: Assistant Commandants in SSB
– No. of Vacancies: 42 Posts
– Qualification: The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Age Limit, SSB Recruitment 2024 —
Candidates should be at least 20 years old and not more than 25 years old as on August 1, 2024 i.e., they must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1999 and later than August 1, 2004. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable as per government rules.

The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable:-
(i) Upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
(ii) Upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.
(iii) upto a maximum of five years for Civilian Central Government Servants.
Application Fees —
The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) [excepting SC/ST/Female candidates who are exempted from payment of fee] either by remitting the money in any branch of State Bank of India by cash or by using any Visa/ Master/ RuPay Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI Payment or by using net banking of any Bank.
