Hello Farmers, Welcome To JK Student Academy. In this article, I, Mufayaiz Wani, will guide you through the essential details of the PM-KISAN eKYC 2024 and the significance of eKYC in ensuring seamless fund transfers to farmers’ Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts.

The PM-KISAN scheme, initiated in February 2019, aims to financially support land-holding farmers across India. Under this scheme, farmers receive Rs 6,000 per year in three equal installments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The focus is on transferring funds directly into Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts, minimizing middlemen involvement.

Why eKYC?:

eKYC plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the benefits of the PM KISAN scheme reach the intended beneficiaries without any intermediaries. It streamlines the process and promotes transparency in fund disbursement.

Modes of PM Kisan eKYC 2024:

1. OTP Based e-KYC:

To initiate OTP-based eKYC, farmers need an Aadhaar-linked active mobile number. Follow these steps:

i. Visit the PM-KISAN portal pmkisan.gov.in

ii. Click on e-KYC (top right corner)

iii. Enter Aadhaar number and complete eKYC after submitting OTP

2. Biometric-based e-KYC:

This mode is available at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendras (SSKs). Follow these steps:

i. Visit nearest CSC/SSK with Aadhaar Card and linked mobile number

ii. CSC/SSK operator assists in biometric authentication

Note: Locate the nearest CSC https://locator.csccloud.in/, with a convenience fee of Rs. 15 for eKYC.

3. Face Authentication-based e-KYC:

This innovative mode allows farmers to perform eKYC through the PM-KISAN mobile app. Follow these steps:

i. Download PM-KISAN and Aadhaar Face RD app from Google Play Store

ii. Login with PM-KISAN registered mobile number

iii. Land on beneficiary status page

iv. If eKYC status is “No,” click on eKYC, enter Aadhaar number, and consent to face scan

v. After successful face scan, eKYC is completed.

Important Notes:

The eKYC status reflects in the beneficiary status after 24 hours.
