JKBOTE Announces Admissions for Three-Year Diploma Polytechnic Courses

The Jammu & Kashmir Board of Technical Education (JKBOTE) has officially opened the admission process for the academic year 2024-25. The admissions are for Three Year Diploma Polytechnic (Engineering and Non-Engineering) courses, available at both Government and Private Polytechnics across the J&K and Ladakh regions.

Key Details:

• The admissions are open exclusively for domiciles of J&K and/or residents of Ladakh.
• Merit determination for all courses, except Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), will be based on the marks obtained in the 10th class.
• For MLT admissions, the merit will be based on the 12th class (Medical stream) marks.
• Information Brochure and annexure “A” are available at JKBOTE’s website.

Important Dates:

• Application Period: Candidates can submit online applications from May 1, 2024, to June 15, 2024.
• Application Fee: A fee of Rs. 100 must be paid online during the submission.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Applicants must be a domicile of J&K or a resident of Ladakh.
2. They must have passed the 10th Class Examination from a recognized board, or the 12th Class (for MLT course).
3. A minimum of 35% is required in the qualifying examination (10th or 12th class).

• Submission is strictly online via JKBOTE’s admission portal.

Documents Required:

Applicants need to upload JPEG files (size not less than 50KB) of the following:

• Recent Passport size Photograph
• Domicile Certificate of J&K or Ladakh Resident Certificate (LRC)
• Marks certificate (10th or 12th, as applicable) / Board Roll-Number slip if awaiting results
• Category Certificate, if applicable
• Disability Certificate, for differently-abled persons
