Indian Army Dental Corps Recruitment 2024: Join the Service

The Indian Army Dental Corps is inviting applications from BDS/MDS graduates meeting the required qualifications. This opportunity is for those who have completed their education from a college/university recognized by the Dental Council of India (DCI) and registered themselves as Dental Practitioners with any State Dental Council. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% marks in their final year BDS or possess an MDS degree.

Age Limit:

Applicants must not exceed 45 years of age as of December 31, 2024, to be eligible for Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Army Dental Corps.

Pay Scale:

The pay scale for Civilian Dental Surgeons in the Indian Army ranges from Rs. 61,300 to Rs. 1,20,900 per month.

Application Process:

Candidates need to pay an online application fee of Rs. 200/- towards DGAFMS (APF Fund) while submitting their applications online. The application must be filled out accurately, and candidates should ensure all details are entered correctly.

Selection Process:

1. Screening for Interview: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test, NEET (MDS)-2024, conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will face an interview before a Selection Board to assess their suitability and eligibility for the award of SSC in the Army Dental Corps. Medical examination will also be conducted during this stage.
3. Medical Examination: All shortlisted candidates will undergo a detailed medical examination to ensure their medical fitness.

Document Verification:

Shortlisted candidates must produce all original certificates along with the application/admit card for verification during the interview. Failure to produce original documents will lead to disqualification, regardless of possessing the required qualifications.

Physical Standards:

• Male Candidates: Minimum height requirement is 157 cm, while for candidates from hilly and northeastern states, it’s 152 cm.
• Female Candidates: Minimum height requirement is 152 cm, while for candidates from hilly and northeastern states, it’s 147 cm.
