The Government Medical College Baramulla has announced an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking employment in the healthcare sector. Under the project “Medical College Level Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL)”, applications are invited for the position of Laboratory Technicians on a contractual basis. This initiative is co-terminus with the scheme at the Department of Microbiology, and appointments are for an initial period of one year, extendable based on performance and the continuation of the scheme from DHR, ICMR.

Monthly Salary: INR 20,000 + HRA
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification:
– B.Sc. / Intermediate with a diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology.
Desirable Qualifications:
– Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in working in a Virology laboratory.
Selection Criteria
The selection process includes a written examination and evaluation of relevant experience:
– Written Examination: 90 Marks
– Experience: Marks will be awarded for experience in medical colleges, ICMR, DHR, IDSP, CSIR, DBT, or other projects (maximum 10 marks, 2 marks per year).

Terms and Conditions
1. The candidate must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
2. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.
3. Appointments will be on a contract basis for one year, extendable based on satisfactory performance.
4. Selected candidates must submit an affidavit attested by the 1st class magistrate, affirming:
– They are domiciles of J&K.
– Adherence to the duties roster issued by the Administration.
– Validity and correctness of submitted documents.
– Non-participation in any strike or protest against the Administration.
– They are not currently appointed in any government or semi-government department.
5. In-service candidates are not eligible to apply.
