District Social Welfare Jobs Recruitment 2024:The Office of the District Social Welfare Officer in Kupwara has announced an opening for the position of Gender Specialist as part of the SANKALP Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW) initiative. This position, advertised under the Mission Shakti Scheme, aims to enhance gender-focused programs within the district.

Position Details:
– Position: Gender Specialist
– Number of Posts: 01
– Eligibility Criteria:
– Educational Qualification: Graduate in social work or other social disciplines. Preference will be given to postgraduates.
– Experience: At least 3 years of experience working with Government or Non-Government organizations in gender-focused themes.
– Age: 18-40 years as of 1st January 2024.
Application Process:
Candidates must be residents of Kupwara District with domicile certification from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Applications should be submitted using the prescribed format, and candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic qualifications and performance in the viva-voce.
Selection Criteria:
– Academic Qualification: 80 points (pro-rata basis)
– Viva-Voce: 20 points
– The ratio of shortlisting will be 1:5 for each post.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original documents for verification during the interview process. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
Terms and Conditions:
1. The applicant must be physically fit for field visits across Kupwara.
2. This is a temporary contractual position, extendable based on performance.
3. The initial contract will be for one year, subject to extension.
4. There will be no regularization or absorption into permanent roles.
