CRPF Constable Recruitment 2024: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), which operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, is organizing a special recruitment drive for the position of Head Constable (Ministerial) through compassionate appointment.
As per the official notification of CRPF Recruitment 2024, this unique initiative seeks to offer job opportunities to eligible family members who have faced unfortunate circumstances such as the loss of their loved ones in the line of duty, death during service, medical discharge, or being reported missing while on duty.
The position offers a pay scale at Level 4 (Rs. 25,500 – 81,100/-) as per the 7th CPC. Eligible candidates, aged between 18 to 25 years (with relaxations up to 38 years for general cases and 40 years for widows), must have completed Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent. Eligibility Criteria of CRPF Recruitment 2024
As per the official notification of CRPF Recruitment 2024 the required educational qualification, experience and age limit for each post is given below:-

Selection Process
The selection process for the Head Constable (Ministerial) role in CRPF involves several steps to assess candidates thoroughly. It starts with tests for physical standards and efficiency, followed by verifying documents. Then, there’s a typing test on computers to see how fast candidates can type in English or Hindi. After that, there’s a written test with multiple-choice questions on language, intelligence, math, clerical skills, and computer knowledge.
The selection process involves multiple stages:-
- Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- Document Verification (DV).
- Skill Test: Typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer.
- Written Test: Objective-type questions covering Hindi/English Language, General Intelligence, Numerical Aptitude, Clerical Aptitude, and Computer Knowledge.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME) to ensure medical fitness.
