Extended Deadline: Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education Announces Last Date Extension for NMMSS Scholarship Applications
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has extended the last date for submitting applications for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) scholarship examination to February 15, 2024. The previous deadline was November 9, 2023.
This scholarship scheme is aimed at providing financial assistance to meritorious students of economically weaker sections studying in class 8th in government, government-aided and local body schools.
Who is eligible to apply?
- Students studying in class 8th in government, government-aided and local body schools in Jammu and Kashmir.
How to apply:
- Application forms can be downloaded from the official website of JKBOSE
- The completed application form along with all required documents should be submitted to the concerned Chief Education Officer (CEO) by February 15, 2024.
- What are the benefits of the scholarship?
- Selected students will receive a scholarship amount of Rs. 6,000 per annum.
- The scholarship will be renewed every year till class 12th, subject to satisfactory academic performance.
