The Indian Navy has announced the commencement of online applications for the Agniveer (SSR) 02/2024 batch. Unmarried male and female candidates who meet the eligibility conditions set by the Government of India are invited to apply. The eligibility criteria and terms are as follows:

Eligibility Conditions:

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics & Physics or a three-year diploma in Engineering or a two-year vocational course with Physics and Mathematics, with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Age: Applicants should be born between 01 Nov 2003 and 30 Apr 2007.

Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible, and they must remain unmarried for the entire four-year tenure.

Terms & Conditions:

Service Duration: Enrolment is for four years under the Navy Act 1957.

Leave: Agniveers are entitled to 30 days of leave per year, plus sick leave based on medical advice.

Pay & Benefits: A monthly package of ₹30,000 with yearly increments, along with various allowances.

Seva Nidhi: A one-time package upon completion of engagement, with contributions from both the individual and the government, totaling 5.02 Lakh each.

Insurance & Compensation: Life insurance cover of ₹48 lakh, with additional death and disability compensation available.

Post-Service Opportunities:

Enrolment as Sailors: Up to 25% of Agniveers may be selected for further enrolment into the Indian Navy as sailors (regular cadre) based on performance.

Additional Notes:

Agniveers will not receive gratuity or pension benefits and will not be eligible for ex-Servicemen status. They will have access to medical facilities and CSD provisions during their engagement.

Training:

– Discharge Policy: Agniveers may be discharged as “UNSUITABLE” due to unsatisfactory performance at any time during training or service tenure.

– Examination Centres: Candidates must choose three preferred locations for the Indian Naval Entrance Test (INET). The Indian Navy reserves the right to allot any location due to administrative reasons.

Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

Stage II and Application Process for Agniveer (SSR) 02/2024 Batch

Stage II – PFT, Written Examination, and Recruitment Medical:

– Call-up Letters: Issued for Stage II to candidates shortlisted in INET. Aadhar Card is mandatory.

– Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Mandatory for selection. Standards are:

– Male: 1.6 Km run in 6 min 30 sec, 20 squats, 15 push-ups, 15 bent knee sit-ups.

– Female: 1.6 Km run in 8 min, 15 squats, 10 push-ups, 10 bent knee sit-ups.

– Recruitment Medical Examination: For PFT qualifiers. Candidates found medically unfit can appeal at designated military hospitals within 5 days.

– Merit List: Based on Stage-II written exam performance, PFT, and medical examination. State-wise merit list preparation.
